KFRM BlogAnimal Welfare Vote in Ohio Today is the day Ohio voters will hopefully approve a common sense approach to the animal treatment. They will vote on whether or not to approve a constitutional amendment to establish a 13 member Livestock Care Standards Board. This board would include family farmers as well as the state ag commissioner, vetrinarians, consumers and a representative of a local humane society. This would allow animal care regulations to be made locally instead of under the pressure and publicity of the Humane Society of the United States who has opposed the measure. Jim
