"There are exactly as many special occasions in life
as we choose to celebrate."

- I'm celebrating being home. After 3,325 miles in the car, we made our way back to the County Line yesterday afternoon. Randy got tired of watching crops burn up around here. So we packed our bags and took off July 29 to visit his brother Lyle in Cascade, Idaho, with stops in Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons and assorted places in between. (And you can celebrate because I won't show you all 568 photos.)

- We got 0.60 of rain last night (and I hear it sprinkling this morning). What a wonderful welcome home gift! We also got 1.10 inches while we were gone. Lyle says we brought the heat with us to Idaho. Sorry Idaho! But even though the days were unseasonably warm for Idaho, it was cooler than Kansas. And the early mornings and the evenings were wonderfully cool. Let's hope we brought a little of that home with us.
