KFRM The Voice of the Plains

Michelle Tessaro started in radio in 1980 as an Announcer on a Midnight shift. It wasn't long before she grew in her natural abilities in the Broadcast Arts. She moved on from there to work as a Copy Writer, an announcer at an Oldies station and later after raising a family, anchored mid-day news on the Information Radio Network, followed by a few years as an Instructor at Columbia School of Broadcasting before it closed. She has also done some freelance voiceover work.

Michelle is married to Rev. Paul Tessaro of St. Paul Lutheran church in Clay Center. Together they have 3 children, a daughter Melody and her husband 2nd Lt. Kyle Maki reside at Fort Rucker, Al., a son, PFC David Tessaro, USMC, currently in training and another daughter, Katie, who is a Freshman at Clay Center Community High School. Michelle started at KCLY in October of 2006.
