Suzanne is originally from Chicago. Prior to
moving to Clay Center in 'August '05, she sent and joined college
students on mission trips around the world (to places like Cuba, China,
Guatemala & Mexico) through the University Ministries department of
North Park University.
She also worked with Bosnian refugees for World
Relief and was a Peace Corps volunteer English Teacher to Yemen and
China after she graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan with a
Communication/Education degree in May, '92. A professor told her at that
time that she had a good radio voice so when she moved to Clay Center
she thought she would try to make her secret dream of doing radio a
reality. She started doing voiceovers for KCLY shortly after moving to
Clay Center and came on board for the 2:30-5PM afternoon shift in June
'07.
Suzanne is married to Grant Clay who is an
Associate Pastor at Clay Center Covenant Church. They were thrilled to
have a baby girl, Tori, in September, 2007. and also have a beloved
calico farm kitty named Cali.
